Short answer: yes. At GKHT Exotics, most of our fleet rents to drivers 18 and up — including a Lamborghini — as long as you meet the insurance and deposit requirements. That puts us in a small group. Most exotic rental companies set their minimum at 25, and many that advertise “under 25” still stop at 21.
If you are 18, 19 or 20 and have wanted to drive a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Rolls-Royce, you can actually book one with us today. Here is how it works and what you will need.
Which Lamborghinis can an 18-year-old rent?
The exact minimum age is listed on every vehicle page. Several of our Lamborghinis and other supercars are available at 18+; a handful of the highest-value cars are set at 21+ or 25+. Before you fall in love with a specific car, check its spec table for the minimum age, or start from our under-25 and 18+ page, which lists everything you can rent below 25 in one place.
In Los Angeles specifically, our Lamborghini rentals include the Huracán and Urus. In Phoenix and Scottsdale, we carry the Huracán and Urus as well. Availability changes, so the vehicle page is always the source of truth.
What you need to rent at 18
- A valid driver’s license held in your own name.
- Full comprehensive and collision insurance in your name that extends to a non-owned vehicle. This is the requirement that trips most young renters up — a liability-only policy will not qualify.
- A refundable security deposit, shown on each vehicle page. Deposits typically run from $800 to $2,000 depending on the car.
We verify your insurance before the car is released, so allow a few minutes at pickup. If you are not sure whether your policy covers a non-owned exotic, call your insurer and ask specifically about physical-damage coverage on a rented vehicle before you book.
Being 18 does not cost extra with us. The rate you see on the vehicle page is the rate you pay, whatever your age — there is no young-driver surcharge.
Why most companies say no — and we don’t
Exotic cars are expensive to repair, so most rental companies reduce their risk by simply refusing anyone under 25. We take a different approach: we require the right insurance and a deposit, verify both, and then let responsible younger drivers rent. It is more work on our end, but it means an 18-year-old with proper coverage can drive a car most places would never hand over.
